Frequently Asked Questions about Baker Middle School and the PTA
How do I join the PTA?
We'd love to have you! You can join either by filling out a membership form with a check made out to Baker PTA Membership or via our online portal. The Membership form can be downloaded from the "PTA Membership Form" button below and the online portal can be accessed by clicking the "Join PTA" button below!
What can I do to help the PTA?
We could always use more volunteers! To be more involved, you can join the PTA as a general member (see above), or volunteer for a specific activity, or donate to one of our events.
Currently, we are in need a Volunteer Coordinator, volunteers for the 8th Grade Committee, and donations to our Welcome Back Breakfast. You can email the PTA to volunteer for any or all of those at BakerPTA@yahoo.com.
Does my child need to buy a gym uniform?
No, but they do need a gray shirt and navy shorts. For winter, sweatshirts and sweatpants in any design and/or color are needed.
Label the inside with your child's name in case they are lost or stolen. The staff also want to have the student name on the back of the t-shirt. It's easier to call a student by name in a big crowd if they are all labeled and easier to find if lost.
Where do I hand in SSL forms?
All SSL forms are handed in the counseling office. Please make sure it is completely filled out and with complete sentences to get credit. It is also excellent practice to photocopy and keep a record of all hours submitted in case of discrepancy.
